The idea for the name came after a wine trip to Sta Rita hills is an American wine growing area located in Santa Barbara County, California and after watching the wine movie called Sideways
Sideways Skagen started out focusing on the wines from around Santa Barbara, but now here 5 years later we have to admit that wines from other areas are a must in a wine shop, so now you will find a nice selection of wines from both Europe, New Zealand and the United States.

wine shop Sideways
a must.
You can easily find us on Sct Laurentii Vej no 26B in the smøgen with access from Sct Laurentii Vej, at the beginning of the pedestrian street. Just behind the bookstore and to the side by Salling Outlet. There is parking directly opposite the store next to the Netto store. In the shop you can look at the most delicious wines and specialities. Flemming has usually always a few bottles open, so there is an opportunity to taste some wine before you buy. The shop is nicely decorated with art on the walls. Works it is too possible to buy if you fall in love with the art on display.
Wine tastings are held at regular intervals in the Sideways store. That is there are about 8 to 12 people who get a taste of a number of the shop’s wines, often with a theme, e.g. from a particular winery or country. The wines can be presented at the same time as you get something delicious food, often with local produce. Flemming is a trained chef and has worked with great success in restaurants in Skagen, Silkeborg and the USA.
